A service of songs was held for murdered  pastor of The  Redeemed Christian Church of God , Eunice Elisha in Kubwa, Abuja. The remains of the 42 year-old mother of seven, who was killed while preaching at the Gbazango-West area of Kubwa, will be buried today July 23, which is coincidentally her birthday. Danfo Bus Caught Fire In Berger,Lagos-Leaving 11 Persons Dead And 3 Injured

Tragedy strucked yesterday as a 14 seater commercial bus lost its brakes, somersaulted and burst into flames on July 21 at Berger by Otedola bridge. 11 persons; 3 females, 8 males were burnt to death while 3 persons were rescued alive. It was said that the accident occurred when the bus was moving inward Berger by Otedola, around 6.10 pm. LASEMA response team, Federal Road Safety Corps, Lagos State Fire Service and the Nigerian Police were involved in the rescue. The General Manager LASEMA, Mr. Michael Akindele advised motorists to avoid over speeding and also ensure proper checks on their vehicles.

President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Hadiza Bala Usman as the Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) which is to take effect from11th of July,2016. Hadiza Bala Usman is a member of the Bring Back Our Girls, a group campaigning for serious action on the rescue of over 200 Chibok girls abducted two years ago. She was appointed alongside Mohammed Bello-Koko Executive Director (Finance), Prof. Idris Abubakar Executive Director (Engineering), Dr. Sekonte Davies Executive Director (Marine Operations). Hadiza Bala Usman was born on 2nd January, 1976 in Zaria, Kaduna State.She holds a B.Sc. Degree in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria and a Post Graduate in Development Studies from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom in 2009. She started her Career with Centre for Democratic Development and Research Training (CEDDERT) Zaria, a Non-Governmental Organization in June 2000 as a Research Assistant,worked at the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE)

NDIMRC Dissaproves Removal of Kachikwu as MD-NNPC

Niger Delta Indigenous Movement For Radical Change (NDIMRC) on Friday disapproves the removal of Dr. Ibe Kachikwu as the Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).According to a statement signed by Nelly Emma; President of the group, Secretary, John Sailor, and Public Relations Officer (PRO), Stanley Mukoro, disappointment was expressed at the sudden decision of the President to remove Kachikwu who had been labouring to calm down the militants for oil exportation to improve. Kachikwu, who for eight months had doubled as the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, and will now serve as the Chairman of the NNPC board, had led a Federal Government team last month to negotiate a peace deal with the militants. Niger Delta Avenger Extends Oil Attack To Rivers And Bayelsa

The Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) escalated their destruction of oil installations to Bayelsa and Rivers States in the early hours of Friday as they blasted Nember 1, 2, 3, and Tebedaba brass trunline line. Security sources stated that the militants attacked the trunk line in two speed boats with 500 horsepower engines that facilitated their escape.They had easy access to the facilities following the scaling down of military presence in the region in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive,security unfolds. Blast At Borno Mosque Leaves Six People Dead

“At the early hours of today, precisely at about 5.15am, two Boko Haram terrorists suicide bombers attacked Damboa. The first suicide bomber targeted Damboa Central Mosque but due to stringent security measures, he could not gain entry.Obviously frustrated, he exploded and died near the Central mosque. However, the second bomber veered off and gained entry into another smaller mosque and detonated the bomb killing himself and 6 other worshipers and injuring one other person. The wounded has been evacuated to a hospital while efforts are on to clear the rubbles. 7 Killed in Cross River Communal Clash

Seven persons have been reported dead due to the outbreak of violent hostilities between Inyima community in Yakurr Local Government Area and Onyadama community in Obubra Local Government Area in Cross River State. Apart from the death statistics recorded from both communities, various degrees of injuries have been sustained from gunshots and machete cuts adopted by combatants from both communities. “I advise people traveling from Calabar to Ikom or Ikom to Calabar. 54-Yrs-Old Man,Abducts And Defiles 11-Yrs-Old Girl In Ekiti

Gbenga Adebayo,54-yrs-old man, has been remanded in prison custody by a Magistrate’s court in Ado Ekiti, for abducting and defiling an 11-year-old girl. It was reported that Adebayo lured the girl to his aged mother’s place in Ushi Ekiti, about 60km from Ado Ekiti, where he was allegedly visiting her regularly and sleeping with her.Adebayo deceived neighbours by joining the search team for the girl. Trouble began to shoot when the girl refused to cooperate with him again and demanded to see her family,he took her to one of her aunts in Akure, whom he lied to that he found the girl wandering about. Kidnappers Of Babcock Student Finally Made Contact; Demand Huge Ransom

The kidnappers of Justina Anochie, a female Babcock University fresh graduate, have demanded N10 million as ransom to free their victim. Judith Nze,Another's sister who spoke with newsmen said ”the kidnappers demanded N10 million and later asked for N5 million. They refused the family’s offer of N300,000 and have promised to kill the young graduate if their demands are not met. She said: “Anochie has finished her programme in the school and was just waiting for clearance. I learnt that the place she stays is isolated. “She was taken on Sunday and since then we have all lost our peace. I have stopped going to the office because I can’t concentrate.“Initially, we thought it was a joke until the kidnappers contacted us and demanded N10m as ransom.
