A final year student of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has been reportedly caught in the female hostel block in the early hours of Thursday while trying to rape a female student identified as Stella Okoli. It was said that the final student from the department of parasitology and Entomology (PAE) awaiting defence, climbed to the second floor of Block ‘A’ hostel to commit the act. The female students held him, screamed, and in an attempt to escape, he reportedly jumped down from the second floor of the hostel and fell into the gutter where he sustained injuries.New development noted that he was later rushed to the University Medical centre .
